MERKUR Excellence, based in Raaba near Graz, was founded in 2018 as part of the MERKUR GROUP and specializes in game design and development, with a particular focus on casino games.

We’re looking for a Junior Game Tester (m/f/d) to support the testing of our games across multiple platforms and devices. In this role, you’ll help ensure game quality throughout the development cycle, work closely with experienced QA colleagues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Your responsibilities

  • As a Junior Game Tester (m/f/d), you support hands-on game testing across multiple devices and platforms by executing test cases, documenting results, and reporting bugs. You will perform different types of tests, including exploratory, regression, and smoke testing.
  • You assist in maintaining QA processes and support the creation and execution of test plans to help ensure quality throughout the development cycle.
  • In addition, you work closely with developers, designers, and other team members to clarify requirements, verify bug fixes, and contribute to sprint reviews and milestone meetings.
  • You also support the QA team in improving testing workflows and gain experience with automated testing tools and pipelines.

Your profile

  • First experience in QA, game testing or software testing is a plus, combined with a strong passion for games and interest in the casino gaming industry
  • Fluent in English, German is a plus
  • Basic understanding of the game development lifecycle and Agile/Scrum workflows
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Familiarity with bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail) and interest in testing across different platforms (PC, mobile, EGMs)
